The Art of Management System Auditing

Course Description

The Art of Management System Auditing is a self-study certificate course that provides a practical introduction to the principles and practices of management system auditing based on ISO 19011. Participants will learn how to plan, conduct, report, and follow up audits, collect objective evidence, evaluate conformity, communicate findings, and support continual improvement. The course is ideal for internal auditors, supplier auditors, certification professionals, and anyone seeking a solid foundation in management system auditing and conformity assessment.

The course has been developed by a team of Conformity Assessment experts exclusively for the Conformity Assessment Society.

Course Format

This self-study course is delivered in a structured, interactive format designed to balance self-paced learning with knowledge validation.  Self-paced, self-study courses offer the flexibility to learn anytime and anywhere, allowing participants to progress at their own speed while balancing professional and personal commitments.

Pre-Course Material Delivery

Upon registration, participants receive access to a digital course pack, including:

- A Participant Guide with all lesson notes, reading materials, and key definitions.

- Analytical textbook.

- Practical examples and case studies.

Materials are provided in PDF format and can be downloaded for offline study.

Assessment

At the end of the course, participants take an online test. The test includes multiple-choice questions. Passing grade: 70% or higher.

Certificate of Completion

Participants who successfully pass the final assessment receive a digital certificate verifying their achievement.

The certificate can be shared on LinkedIn or included in professional development records.

Successful completion of the course awards 2.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), equivalent to 25 hours of structured learning.

Registration Deadline

- Participants can register by  September 25, 2026 .

- The course will run September 27 - October 11, 2026 .

- The material will be released  September 27, 2026 . Participants will have to complete the final test by  October 11, 2026 .

Course Fees

The course participation fee is USD $250 for Non-Members

A 60% discount is provided  for Conformity Assessment Society members, course participation fee USD $100 for CAS members!

CAS Member Education Benefit Policy:  CAS members in good standing are entitled one complimentary CAS self-study certificate course per membership year and enjoy a 60% discount on all additional CAS courses while their membership remains active.
